Statistics Project Instructions The project should consist of 3 sections. The first section should describe the dataset you are using, the variables you have chosen and the relationship you expect to see between the variables. Describe why you expect to see the relationship you do. Why did you choose these variables? What level of measurement is each variable? What statistical technique will you use to analyze the relationship between the variables? The second section should describe each variable statistically. In this section, you will have to make choices about how to describe each variable. Do you show a frequency distribution? Do you describe the mean, median or mode? What measure of variance best describes each variable? Show the most appropriate graph to describe each graph visually. The third section will be analyze the relationship between the variables. You will have to make a decision regarding which statistical technique to employ. It could be a T test, regression, cross-tabs, etc. Does the relationship you expected to find actually exist? Summarize your results. The entire paper should be written in essay format with appropriate tables and graphs inserted in the appropriate location. All tables and graphs should include a description either just before or just following the table. | |
